I had a hard time waking up today to go out for a run. I heard my alarm clock and woke up. I was standing in the kitchen debating with myself whether I should go back to sleep or go out for a run. It was an ordinary weekday run. Nothing special. I wouldn’t be covering great distances. I wouldn’t see much on the way. The morning is very dark. It is cold this time of year. I could use more sleep. For a while, I couldn’t find any compelling reason to go out. I just stood there. Then something interesting happened. I noticed myself thinking all those thoughts. That’s when I gained an upper hand. I am going out. It turned out to be a great 13km run. I am glad I made it.
