I am experimenting with writing down all those thoughts that come to me while I am out running. Things I saw, ideas that came to my mind, fragments of thoughts, how it felt to be running at that time and place. I usually forget all of this after a few days so I try to get my thoughts written down as soon as I can, while it is still fresh in my mind. I think it can become an interesting collection of observations. I am thinking it can be part of an artwork I create based on my experience of running in each place. The few words I write down are nothing extraordinary. They are of the most mundane type but they add a dimension that does not exist anywhere except my mind. I am trying to capture a fleeting moment, perhaps even something I am not conscious of. I want my runs to have more depth. Running is a rare opportunity to be with myself and I want to be fully present when that happens.
