Doing something as small as adding a description to your runs can make your running experience more meaningful. It is the time to pause and think back on your run and what you saw. No smart watch or device can do this for you. What you get as a result of this practice is a diary. Sometimes it is the weather, sometimes it is your thoughts while running. Despite most of the running happening on the familiar routes, the experience of running is different every time. It is hard to go back and remember what it was like to run on that particular day several months ago. If you do not write it down, you will forget.
