I was reminded of the power of running to make me feel relaxed and present in the moment. On some days peace of mind is harder to achieve. Even going out for a run feels like a chore. The effort pays off: you get to be with yourself for an hour and think all manner of things undistracted. When you let your mind wonder, good thoughts come seemingly out of nowhere. You have to make time in your day which is not occupied by any task with a goal. Doing things you do not like to do is hard work but that is the only way to be truly happy.
